New School Year

So it's the final year of school and I actually have to make this blog updated now. Lol. First thing first is my Advanced Illustration piece- Alter Ego. I wasn't sure what to do... but since I am a very closed in person and don't like to go outside in the heat, I think my alter ego would be a fearless person who runs with leopards. And peacocks. (Peacocks can be scary when they chase you. Seriously.)

This is a slightly cropped scan of the photocopy. My original drawings are almost always done on tracing paper unless I intend to do them in full pencil.

Wow... Been awhile

Gonna start updating this frequently. I'm working on some digital work this summer.







The one above is just a sketch thus far for another digital painting. i want to finish the first one before I start this painting.

More Work

I have been doing digital work lately since I got my tablet (a wacom bamboo) and find I enjoy it a lot now. It doesn't require me to gain motivation to get my materials ready. The first painting is finished and I hope to finish the other two by the end of this weekend.







All 3 were sketched and rendered in photoshop. Most of them I did hardly more than a bare concept sketch. I find it easier to just start the painting right away.

Assuming I have ever really had one to begin with :p

So I guess I may make this a bit of a sketch blog since I very few and far between post my work on deviantart anymore.





They don't look like much but that's the sketch and the color study for a commission I'm doing.
